Why are liberal Dems crying for the impeachment of Bush for invading a country that never attacked us?

Were you also crying for Bill Clinton to be impeached back in the 90s for doing the exact same thing?

Clinton invaded Somalia in 1993.

Clinton invaded Haiti in 1994.

Clinton invaded Serbia in 1999.

Did Somalia, Haiti or Serbia ever attack the US? Nope.

So I'll ask you hypocritical loons one more time: Did you call for Clintons impeachment between 1992-2000 for invading three countries that never attacked us? Yes or No.|||All of the invasions that you mention were United Nations efforts.... Clinton commited American troops to a UN operation; those were not invasions.

Come on, you have got to be smarter than that.

BTW, I don't think impeachment of Bush is a good idea; I just had to point out the absurdity of your question.

I don't have a problem with war either... but all of the actions that you mentioned (except Iraq) were UN interventions. The United States did not declare war or act alone (I know, I was in Somalia and slept beside a regiment of Pakistanis). The US declared war on Iraq and assembled some allies but we took the overwhelming load of the invasion... totally different from Haiti, Serbia and Somalia. As a proud veteran I can say that declaring war on Iraq was a mistake... I am not ashamed of saying that.|||Res 1441 was a warning to Hussein, not a declaration of war. Kofi Anna actually called the American invasion "illegal" since the invasion of Iraq was not voted on and the resolution amended. Seriously, you need to look this stuff up before you shoot your mouth.

|||YES|||I did scream for Bill Clinton's impeachment but then again I'm not a democrat.|||Because Clinton didn't bankrupt the country while making all of his friends rich???|||maybe they figured it bad to impeach the same president twice and you make a very good point|||Well there was no need . Ken star had the courts and millions of dollars of tax payer money tied up in scandals for six years trying to impeach him over marital indiscretion.|||The US in each of those operations acted in accord with UN mandates. And we DID NOT move in and take over and start a war--we acted to STOP conflict, not start it.

There are just reasons for using force. Invading and occupying a country based on lies is not one of them. Limited and lawful force to stop a conflict and save lives is. That's the difference.

Or, to spellit out for you: Clinton used force to STOP wars, not to start them.|||Well I was like 4 years old when Clinton was elected so I didn't call for anything really until Bush became president.

Clinton went into countries while maintaining a good economy and giving us a surplus rather than getting us trillions of dollars in debt. If Bush did that too he wouldn't be so bad.|||Because there were zero casulties in Clinton's case, and over 3,200 and climbing in Iraq-with George W. Bush.|||Clinton didn't invade Somalia, he kept the troops there that George H.W. Bush sent. Get your facts straight.

He didn't invade Haiti, he restored the Democratically elected government.

He didn't invade Serbia, the U.S. was a part of a Nato air campaign that was waged specifically to stop the war on the Kosovars and peace keepers were sent in afterwards.

Bush invaded a country that didn't attack us, on false pretenses, knocked off their government and took over, all while losing what will soon be 4,000 American lives with more than 20,000 wounded. How is that anything like Bill Clinton ever did?|||Bill clinton did make some mistakes as president such as Somalia and Haiti, but Serbia attempted to sink 2 UN warships and the US was elected to lead the UN peace keeping missions there. You must have forgotten that millions of people were killed in Bosnia and they stopped fighting when the UN got there. Now they are a peacful nation. That was the only time I ever considered joining the Military. Back on topic!!!!!!! Bill Clinton led us out of trillions of dollars in debt. They want Bush impeached not just because of a military error, but a budget that has cost Trillions of dollars in taxpayer money and brought us into debt.|||I called for Bush's impeachment over War Crimes

it is time to pull out of Iraq

Iraq WAS NOT THE CAUSE OF 9/11

nineteen terrorists affiliated with al-Qaeda hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners.

Al-Qaeda is an international alliance of Islamic militants.|||I'm not crying for impeachment, but I can correct you. G H W Bush started US involvement in Somalia and the Balkan conflict. One was a UN thing, the other was a NATO thing. For now I will concede Haiti to you(I don't feel like looking it up). In return I will put the invasion of Grenada on Reagan, keep in mind that little action cost the lives of 19 members of the US Armed Forces.|||Well let's see, this is the difference between dems and repubs, Repubs. did impeach him for lieing about his sex life which was a personal and private matter and didn't kill anyone. Dems want to impeach Bush for being a savage mass murderer. Maybe they should have been impeached him for those attacks I'm not sure. I guess to a republican though an inappropriate ******** is wore than mass murder.|||Clinton did not invade somalia. that was bush sr, dec 26th 92.

regean invaded haita. not clinton|||Some la-la-la-ing wackos dragged one of our U.S. Marine boys through the streets of Mogadishu behind a jeep, and Clinton pulled out like a nervous frat boy without a condom, sending a message to the Middle East that America can be messed with. Now, Bush tries to fix it and everyone cries.|||excellent points|||Oh, You Go! Love this Question, Best one of the Day!
