Do Obama haters dwell on assassination, birth certificates, and impeachment because they are in denial?

Imagining assassination, ineligibility, or a scandal leading to impeachment--even though there is no evidence any of those things will occur--seems like the very definition of denial to me.

Could it possibly be that Obama is in fact the President of the United States, and that he will be so at least until January 20, 2013? Is there something that prevents you from accepting this fact?|||No, not denial. They are usually in bad shape through no fault of their own. They are hardworking people who believe that the American Dream guarantees them upward mobility because of their hard work and prudent lifestyle.

It is tough to explain why hard work is not always rewarded, especially when it can be observed that people are getting paid to not work and don't seem upset that they are not working.

The explanation is complicated and many people think complicated explanations are bull sh it. Conspiracy theories are the most understandable, simple explanations. This world view absolves them of their failure because "they never really had the chance", it directs their anger and frustration away from the real, complicated system, and the complex changes that should be made. The blame is put on those "unfairly" using the system. Oil Companies, Bankers, the poor.|||noooo. it's because we truly dont like him and dont like his policies.|||I hope you are happy with your Messiah raping and murdering America.

Your King Obama is not going to rule forever.

In 2012 that walking failure will be gone.|||While I don't like Obama politically,I would never wish death upon him (or any other political figure I do not like politically). Also would anyone with a functioning neuron system really want Biden as POTUS?|||I agree with you, but the same could be said about the Anti Palin people. They seem obsessed with a woman who has no pull as of right now. That's all people talk about. Both sides are hypocrites.|||Obama is quickly destroying this country's economic system. We Obama Haters are desperate to get him out of office before he causes any more damage. An impeachment is our only hope so we are looking for reasons to impeach him. I personally am not in denial - I know this slime ball is my President. It doesn't mean I have to like it.|||Obama induces more intense hatred from a minority group of Americans than any U.S. president ever.

Only 15% of REPUBLICANS believe Obama is not an American.

What the birther movement is trying to do is erase Obama from the history books by de-legitimizing his presidency. They lost, but refuse to accept it. so yes they are in denial.|||dianee- I never liked Bush or his policies, but I never wanted him to be assassinated, nor did anyone try and disprove his birth certificate.

I don't know if it's because he's black or something, or if their just in denial, but it's getting pretty #$%# old.|||Denial is the refusal, or inability, to accept what is true. Republicans do that, but they also promulgate things they know are -not- true. Watch Fox News or listen to Limbaugh for ten minutes and you'll see they do more of the latter than the former.

What Republicans are most in denial about is the basic failure of Reaganism--trickle-down economics, deficit spending, tax cuts for the rich, confrontive nationalism, etc. etc. They were able to believe in these things until GW Bush made them fail so spectacularly. Now, deprived of their basic philosophy, they're struggling to come up with some other defining principles.

In the meanwhile, all they can do is attack Obama, make up lies about him, speak of his legitimate election to the White House as some kind of communist or nazi totalitarian takeover. That's not denial, it's only self-delusion.|||Obama and his leaders in Illinois couldn't run a state. Why on earth you Obama voters thought he could run 50 states is beyond me.|||Everyone who criticizes him is an "Obama hater" to you. Meanwhile, I don't dwell on assassination and I pray, and teach my son to pray, for him every night. It would be a tragedy to have the President of the United States to be murdered for any reason by anybody. I'm sure you felt the same way about Bush, right?

I point out every time anyone mentions impeachment that just because one doesn't like the guy isn't grounds for impeachment. I'm sure that you always did that when anyone ever mentioned that about Bush, right?

Get off your high horse and realize that disliking the guy is not "hating" and that more than a few of us are more than able to accept the truth. Too bad you can't.|||Libs sure are a miserable lot.|||The simple fact that he has the title is one thing but what he is doing to America and its people is whats scaring the hell out of us. He doesnt even recognize the American flag (there are pictures to prove it) when he holds the highest office in America should tell everyone of us that something is verey, very wrong with him. So the longer hes in office, the more damage he can do to America unless we all wake up real soon|||OMG you are so lame, your Leftist pals had skits on radio of them shooting President Bush, %26amp; the constant Bush is a Nazi, Bush lied troops died BS, and your complaining about others doing the same thing to Obama, Get a life loser %26amp; realize that both sides in the White House are corrupt billionaires who want to control your life. The only difference between u %26amp; me is I don't want either to control me.|||No, we dwell on those things because we know a pile of crap when we smell it.|||Every group has its nuts. I think there are fewer people who are as you describe than there were of people who beleived Bush as going to create a fake terror attack, declair martial law and postpone elctions indefinately in order to stay in office after 2008.

Clearly there were some anti-Bush people who believed like that, but it would be unfair to act like most liberals were that crazy. Just as it is wrong for you to act like conservatives are dwelling on assassination, birth certificates, and impeachment.|||Yes, they have an ego which refuses to acknowledge that people can be elected who are not from their preferred political party without being evil monsters who are trying to destroy the country. As someone else here pointed out, conservatives think liberals see Obama as a messiah, while this is merely a straw-man argument. It is because they cannot fathom that a liberal could ever be viewed as executing good policy without a fanatic base.|||De Nile is a river.

What these people are in is pure racist hatred.
