What was the role of committees in the impeachment of Bill Clinton?

I know that the House Judiciary Committee approved of the impeachment with a majority vote on two charges: perjury and obstruction of government. However, were any other committees involved?

When the trial went down in the Senate were any committees involved?

Also, who had the majority at the time, Republicans or Democrats? I heard it was Democrats, but I'm not sure. And did this have any effect on the outcome of the impeachment and the trial?

Any other information you can share on the role of committees for his impeachment would be very helpful! Thank you!|||The entire Senate heard the trial as a "Committee of the Whole." The republicans were in the majority at athe time.
