Do partisan politics play a role in impeachment proceedings?

Do partisan politics play a role in impeachment proceedings? If so, how? Also could you explain what it means by partisan politics?|||Yes they have in the 2 impeachments we have had in our history|||hi punjabi politics definitely affect it. it also reflects a partys ideology. i think the dems are much more concerned with image. several authorities asked for bushs impeachment and there were numerous valid reasons. but it wasnt pursued certainly the idea of president cheney ruling is scarier than bush. but the dems also decided that an impeachment trial would end up hurting them . clinton really had nothing that was impeachable but the gop went after him like a rabid dog. there philosophy is dont concede anything|||Both presidents who were impeached were the victims of political nonsense. Judges who have been impeached were all corrupt.|||yes, Al Gore said that any elected official that lies under oath should resign without question, then Bill Clinton did it and he changed his mind, so that shows clear partisanship.|||Obviously. The impeachment of Bill Clinton was partisan politics at its most blatant.|||Of course. It is almost always the opposing party that demands impeachment.|||Of course.|||you're joking, right
