What happens after a president is convicted of impeachment?

What would happen if a president is convicted of impeachment? Does the vice president take over? What if there is no vice president?|||The impeachment is the bringing of charges, if he is convicted in the trial that takes place in the senate and removed, then the vp takes over|||Then the Senate votes to remove it or not. If that happens the VP steps in as president.|||VP gets to take charge..and if the VP isn't there..the speaker of the house..PELOSI !!!!!
