What is the impeachment process? and what must a president do to be impeached?

Who impeaches the president and what is the process.

What kinds of acts can cause impeachment of a president|||The House of Representatives can impeach the president, after which he goes on trial in the Senate.

The Constitution says he can be impeached for "high crimes and misdemeanors." Basically, it means that he can be impeached for anything the House of Representatives has the political will to impeach him for.|||To impeach the President it's a two step process:First, the House by a majority vote must vote for criminal or impeachable offenses. Then the trial occurs in the Senate where a 2/3 vote is needed to convict the President followed by removal.|||Well, a President can't be impeached for being called a Communist by people who don't know what that means... at least not until a bunch of the unwashed somehow find their way into office.
