Is there an impeachment talk in the works in regards to Obama?

I am just curious as to what the world is thinking. I would like to know if there is any grounds for him to be impeached. Im not saying I want him impeached by any means. I am just curious as to why he would be able to get impeached for anything he has done.|||None that I know of, besides, Obama cant be impeached because he has not committed any crimes while in office.



.............smokingunrunner, Clinton did get impeached by the U.S. House, Senate did not have enough votes to impeach. that will go down in the history books|||The right has gone out of its way to imply this president is impeachable since he took the oath, first with their belief he wasn't a natural born citizen, as if the no one checked before he ran, or because he wanted to change the health care delivery system by having everyone buy insurance and be covered.

Not exactly a high crime or misdemeanor, which are the only two reasons to impeach.



The world is thinking the holdouts for impeachment are stupid, irresponsible children.

I'm not sure what they think impeachment does to a country and its standing in the world, but I lived through the Nixon impeachment talks, and his subsequent resignation rather than put the country through it. Of course he had Ford pardon him and he was guilty of aiding and abetting a burglary on more than Watergate, there was also an authorized break in at the office of a doctor treating Ellseberg, an anti-war activist.



Impeachment isn't a joke, it shakes confidence in the world that we can run a nation without such a deep political divide that we don't care about the country as long as we 'get' the other side.

The forty million dollar investigation into Clinton's most private life showed that.

We cannot afford to lose more regard in the world than we have already done, first with the Clinton persecution, then with the second election of Bush, now with the nonsense about the debt ceiling and maintaining the wealthy tax cuts on the backs of the middle class.

The world and its markets already thinks we are incapable of running our country sanely. More babble from the right, whether about phony impeachments or not paying our debt will end whatever regard we had in the world.

And that has nothing to do with Obama, and everything to do with Republicans gone wild.



Clinton was impeached in the House, but acquitted in the Senate.|||There are no serious talk of impeachment for Obama. Some would like to, but to this point he hasn't done anything that they can even try talking about let alone go through with the proceedings. While some people think what he's done is at the level of impeachment, it is not to far off of the business as usual in DC, and so no one will open up that box as then they'd have to all impeach themselves along with him.





They are as they say in "Blazing Saddles" trying to protect their "Phoney, Baloney Jobs".|||Not likely. It is just not necessary to spend the time money and energy as he will probably not be re elected anyway. The last mid term elections showed that many Americans are not in approval of his performance. He has less than one year to turn this ship around before he has to start campaigning for the 2012 election. Besides , look at the man and listen to the man. He sounds worn out and in less than three years he has almost gone completely gray in his hair. That is a sign he is breaking down mentally. I don't think Obama is a bad man (anyone who drinks Yuengling Lager can't be all bad) but I do not believe he is the right man for the job.

I would sit down and tip a few beers with Obama but I just would not vote for him.|||No, he has committed no crimes in office, or broken any rules, so he cannot be impeached. ===YEAH RIGHT I AM SURE THEY ARE COVERING HIS AZZ ......I would still like to know who gave the order for them guns to be sold to the cartels,,,, it call a cover up !!!!!!|||A great many poorly-educated folks have been calling for his impeachment on all sorts of grounds, but the fact he has NOT been impeached should be proof enough that EITHER he has not committed an impeachable crime OR all 289 or so Republicans in Congress are either too stupid or too lazy to impeach him...
