If there are impeachment hearings, that will give the Democrats subpoena power for Rove, Miers, and other White House insiders. There is little chance any court will recognize executive privilege during an impeachment hearing or trial. Yes he is impeachable, any appointed member of the president's cabinet is. Impeachment is the process of determining whether the person committed a crime and can be tried in a court of law. Personally, I think the detractors are figuring out the best timeline for controlling the 2008 race for WH, House and Senate. As this unfolds and more names come up, they could be held up for scrutiny. Names we may see: Bush, Rove, Miers. Gonzalez, Rumsfeld. There has to be a crime before any impeachment proceedings|||For the executive branch, only those who have allegedly committed "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors" may be impeached. Gonzales does not met this standard.
